These encaustic works on paper began as a by-project of my sculptural work, but these days they really go hand in hand. Created in tandem, the paper picks up what has been eroded away from the form, balancing between building up one and diminishing the other, I carefully off-set the trails and spillways left behind onto paper as another way of capturing time. Like thin sections in optical mineralogy, they are the thinnest possible slivers of my work.
